Beginning Algebra provides basic college level algebra concepts such as linear equations, inequalities, and polynomials. This course, which we have provided in three compilations -- Part I, Part II, and Parts I and II combined -- consists of downloadable workbooks with example equations, worksheets, and vocabulary that is broken into six chapter/29 sections in Part I and four chapters/22 sections in Part II. Additionally, each compilation includes a guide covering how to teach the OER materials, as well as practice tests and sample exams. The OER Course, Workbook, and Instructor's Guide are licensed with the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Share Alike License. This license lets others remix, tweak, and build upon this work non-commercially, as long as they credit the author and license their new creations under the identical terms. This material was funded by the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE) of the U.S. Department of Education for the Open Textbooks Pilot grant awarded to Middlesex College for the Open Textbook Collaborative.
