This collection contains the output from two OTC projects. Organic Chemistry I emphasizes organic chemistry reactions and mechanisms that are used in any second year, college-level, organic chemistry courses, including the fundamentals of organic chemistry and the chemistry of different organic compounds. This course consists of a downloadable workbook with lecture notes and examples worksheets, broken into eleven chapters. Organic Chemistry II include 11 chapters . The books are written in the format of lecture notes to make it convenient for students to comprehend organic chemistry reactions and mechanisms that are used in any second year, college-level, organic chemistry courses. Both books include common reactions and mechanisms that are used in most of the textbooks, websites, and OER materials. This should enable students to study the subject matter by relating it to what has already been read, seen, or taught. Book one introduces students to the fundamentals of organic chemistry, and then moves on to discuss the chemistry of different organic compounds. Book two continues with the study of different organic compounds and concludes by introducing students to spectroscopic analytical techniques such as UV/VIS, IR, NMR, and Mass spectroscopy. These two textbooks are licensed with the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Share Alike License.
