This database is a digital open educational resource (OER) provided to faculty to use for academic purposes. It has been carefully designed as a repository of searchable biological images. The images were chosen from a set of prepared laboratory slides that focus on specimens used in anatomy and physiology as well as general biology. The same slide has multiple magnifications and may focus of specific features. The viewer is free to access and use the images for teaching purposes.

 This material is licensed with the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Share Alike License. This license lets others remix, tweak, and build upon this work non-commercially, as long as they credit the author and license their new creations under the identical terms.
