About VALE OER Collaborative Projects

The VALE OER Collaborative Projects Collection houses the OER developed through the VALE-NJ OER Certificate Program launched in Summer 2022. This 5-week online course is designed to introduce librarians and library staff across the VALE-NJ network to open educational resources (OER) and engage them in the development of collaborative, multi-institutional solutions to increase the use and application of OER across colleges and universities within New Jersey. This course aims to:

  • Advance participants’ knowledge of OER, Creative Commons, and open pedagogy
  • Build competencies for advancing participants’ own OER institutional needs
  • Connect participants with colleagues across NJ to foster institutional collaborations.
